Trump Highlights Iran’s New Openness to a No-Nuclear-Weapons Deal That Could End the Conflict, Emphasizing That Tehran “Wants to Make a Deal” and Is Now Ready for Steps It Wasn’t Willing to Take Two Months Ago

U.S. President Donald Trump has highlighted what he describes as a major shift in Iran’s position, saying Tehran is now showing new openness to a deal that would permanently forgo nuclear weapons and potentially bring an end to the ongoing conflict.

Speaking amid intensifying diplomatic efforts, Trump said Iran “wants to make a deal,” emphasizing that its leadership is now willing to take steps it had firmly rejected just two months ago. He portrayed the development as a possible turning point, suggesting that negotiations are moving closer to a comprehensive agreement.

According to Trump, the proposed deal centers on a firm Iranian commitment not to develop nuclear weapons, a condition he has repeatedly described as non-negotiable.
