Trump Addresses Nation on Ongoing Iran War: Claims Strategic Objectives Nearly Met, Announces Intensified Military Action for Next Two to Three Weeks Despite No Firm End Date

In a nationally televised address, Donald Trump told Americans that the ongoing conflict with Iran is approaching a decisive phase, even as he announced a new wave of intensified military operations set to unfold over the next two to three weeks.

Speaking from the White House, Trump claimed that key U.S. strategic objectives have “largely been achieved,” pointing to what he described as significant damage inflicted on Iran’s military infrastructure, including missile systems, drone capabilities, and command networks. He portrayed the campaign as a show of American strength, insisting that the U.S. remains firmly in control of the situation.

Despite the confident tone, the president made it clear that the war is not yet over. Instead, he signaled an escalation, warning that U.S. forces will carry out even more aggressive strikes in the coming weeks to eliminate remaining targets and pressure Iran into submission.

“We are going to finish this,” Trump said, emphasizing that the next phase of operations would be critical in determining the final outcome of the conflict.

However, Trump stopped short of offering a clear end date. While suggesting that the war could conclude within weeks, he acknowledged that its duration ultimately depends on how quickly remaining objectives are met and how Iran responds to mounting pressure.

The announcement has raised questions among analysts and global observers. Critics argue that declaring success while simultaneously escalating military action reflects a lack of a clearly defined exit strategy. Meanwhile, Iran has continued to demonstrate resilience, maintaining elements of its military capacity and signaling its readiness to respond.

Beyond the battlefield, the conflict is already sending shockwaves through global markets, particularly in the energy sector. Rising tensions have fueled fears of broader regional instability, especially around critical oil transit routes, with potential consequences for economies worldwide.

As the war enters what Trump described as its “final stretch,” uncertainty remains high. The coming weeks are likely to determine whether the conflict moves toward a rapid conclusion—or deepens into a more prolonged and unpredictable confrontation.
