Rock icon Bruce Springsteen has dropped a blistering new protest track titled **”Streets of Minneapolis,”** dedicated to the memory of Alex Pretti and Renée Good, two Minneapolis residents fatally shot by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents during recent protests against aggressive immigration enforcement operations in the city.
In a post accompanying the release, Springsteen explained he wrote the song on Saturday, recorded it Sunday (yesterday), and made it available today in direct response to what he called “state terror” unfolding under the current administration.
The track, available now on major streaming platforms and YouTube, features raw, urgent lyrics referencing “Trump’s federal thugs,” “King Trump,” and the snowy streets where Pretti and Good lost their lives.
