Karoline Leavitt BANS CNN’s Kaitlan Collins from Press Brief after STUPID Question

In a recent White House press briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt declined to take a follow-up question from CNN correspondent Kaitlan Collins, leading to a tense exchange that has sparked discussions about press freedom and the administration’s relationship with the media.
During the briefing held on Wednesday, March 26, Leavitt addressed questions from various reporters. When Collins inquired about the administration’s handling of released Signal messages by Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg, Leavitt responded, “I have now been asked and answered this question three times by the both of you,” indicating her reluctance to revisit the topic. As Collins attempted to pose a follow-up question, Leavitt interjected, stating, “Kaitlan, I am not taking your follow-up,” and proceeded to call on another journalist.
This incident occurred less than 24 hours after President Trump similarly cut off Collins during a press event, preventing her from asking questions related to the same messaging controversy. During that exchange, as Collins began her question, President Trump interrupted, saying, “Excuse me, I didn’t pick you,” and directed his attention to another reporter.
These interactions have raised concerns among journalists and media organizations regarding the administration’s treatment of the press.
The White House Correspondents’ Association has previously condemned such actions, emphasizing the importance of a free and unfettered press in holding government officials accountable.
The White House has not issued an official statement regarding the recent exchanges between Leavitt and Collins. CNN has also declined to comment on the matter.
